Viynl Tiolet Paper is Good for Your Heart

One: Here's this great Facebook group you should check out: [link] (XD)
Two: Men are waffles and women are spaghetti. For reasons that I do not fully understand.
Three: Nabari no Ou is a very good anime.

Number one does not need an explanation. Other than you should go check it out.

Number two involves a story. Once upon a time, in a far-away land, there lived a boy. He was a strange boy, with a strange name. His name was "Canon", and he spent his time amusing himself with a girl named "Emily" in his Governzment class.
One day in this so-called "Government" class, the teacher gave the students the entire hour to work on a study guide. Many of the students turned their desks around to face one another. On this day, so did a young girl called "Courtney".
Oh, screw it-- It takes way too long to write this way. Basically, Canon came over to talk, and Emily told us that men are waffles and women are spaghetti, according to a book Holleigh read (or something). We discussed this for a bit (I think in the end women were hot dogs, and I don't remember what men were), and we came to this conversation:
Canon: There is not one person who does not like bagels. Do you like bagels?
Emily: Yes.
Canon: *turns to girl across the aisle* Do you like bagels?
Brittany: What?!
Canon: It's not an innuendo. Just answer the question.
Brittany: Oh! Yeah.
Canon: See?
Me: Well, now it's going to my goal for the day to find someone who doesn't like bagels!
Canon: You won't find anyone.
Me: Oh, yes I will!
Canon: No, you won't. It's like donuts. You will never find one person who does not like donuts.

Haha. WELL! I showed him (or, I will on Monday)! At a hockey game Friday, I asked my brother, and he doesn't like bagels! XD Bwahaha.

Number three. Okay, a few months ago I went to the mall with a friend, and in FYE a magazine caught my eye: the cover featured CLAMP's Syaoran and Sakura from Tsubasa! I was all, "*hooheehooheehoohee* I NEED THIS." (*cough* That actually had very little to do with the rest of this story.) Anyway, in the magazine there was this little mini-poster of some anime. I had not watched the anime, but I put it on my wall, to remind myself to watch it, and because it looked cool. It had two boys sitting on a porch eating ice cream, with the text: "The ninja world is at war. Whatever." (Though I swear, I thought the second boy was a girl! I still do!) It's been there for... A few months. I kept forgetting to watch this anime. But then last week a friend of mine stopped by my desk in Gov (all interesting things happen there!) and said, "I won DVDs of this anime, it's really good. Do you want to borrow it?" I said sure, and he told me the title: "It's called Nabari. Have you heard of it?" ME: "It sounds familiar, but I don't think so."
He brought the DVDs on Thursday.
I'm sure you've all already figured it out by now, but it was the anime on that poster!
"There is no such thing as coincidence. There is only Hitsuzen ('the inevitable')."
So I guess for some reason, I was meant to watch this anime. XD
But seriously, it is good.

If you actually read all that, I love you. Here, have a funny video:

My Favourite Things: Second Edition

By the way, here is the link to that video I mentioned before.
So like I mentioned yesterday, I ordered the first disc of Kino no Tabi on Amazon for a supa-low price.
HERE IT IS.
It's the same thing Nellie bought at a dollar store a few months ago.
I HAD NO IDEA. :O (I'm telling you, I was so surprised when I opened it! XD)

To the left is the DVD case, partially in the series box (now I need the three other discs to put in the box!). In the middle is a miniature licence plate that says Hermes (which, by the way, is pronounced " 'Elemes ". H is silent.). Then to the right is the awesome Kino picture-book I bought on eBay a few months ago! Which is a little less awesome than I was hoping for when I bought it. It's mostly Japanese text, with few pictures. =_= (It did come with a soundtrack, though!)

The Sun Shines Brighter... And "Life Goes On"

So I sit down to write a new post for my blog, and an hour later, I'm still downloading icons for my blog. XD But I get so excited about that! Which one to use, which one to use? I found a bunch of Kino no Tabi icons!
Speaking of Kino no Tabi, I've been going through another (not quite obsessive) Kino phase again. :D
Last Tuesday I bought the first disc of Kino no Tabi on Amazon for TWO DOLLARS. (Plus shipping.) Which is amazing for anime. Then I log into deviantART and what do I see in my inbox? One of the artists I watch (I love her art) drew herself in Kino garb. In the artist comments she said that she now owns a hat just like Kino's, and goggles.
I didn't even know she liked Kino, so I was surprised enough as it was! (But she gave me the link to the hat on Amazon, and I want. I'll have to save up, though. ;) It's a bit expensive.)

Anyway!
Yesterday was a very interesting day, and today was a very good day!
Let's see, a list... Uhmm... Ooh! Tooaya's doing a LiveStream! ...>.>;; Sorry.
Never mind. I don't feel like writing a list. XD But yesterday I was asked out and Plushie came to youth group with me and Zach acted like his weird ol' self ("I thought you were trying not to scare him!" "Did I say that? Did I say that?!" XD), and Plushie tried on my winter coat. Which I still can not get over! XDD I need to get a photograph of that...

Then today I woke up early, took a shower, submitted Violet's application to Academy of Heroes (6 minutes after admissions opened, but I don't think she was accepted v.v), read my Bible a little bit... I think that did it right there. I've never read my Bible in the morning before, but I think that's what made my day so great!

Memerymemememe.

I've done this before, on deviantART. I saw that Andrea posted one she did on MySpace, then Plushie did one on his blog, and now I am doing it again! It is FUN.'
Generator: http://mct421.deviantart.com/art/Question-Meme-Generator-69266481

1. If Angel played in a movie, what kind of character would they play?
The evil mastermind, of course. Or the girl who gets the everybody-thinks-he's-hot-but-Courtney-is-secretly-disgusted guy.

2. In a race between you, Andrea (Muse) and Kassandra, who would win?
I don't think I've ever seen either of them run.

3. If Fetus and Nellie teamed up, what would they most likely accomplish?
D: THE HORRORS.

4. If Chelsie and Andrea (Muse) were locked in the same (really small) room for longer than a day, what would most likely happen?
Together, the powers of their imagination would have manifested into something so dynamic, it became tangible, and as soon as I open the door to the room, a dragon would fly out and go wreak havoc in the world, under their control.
In other words, I will do all I can do to keep those two apart.

5. Can Rachel be bad influence?
OH HELLS YEAH.
XD Sorry. She can also be a good influence.

6. Do you miss Zach?
Hey, wow, I do, actually.

7. What musical instrument would Nellie most likely play?
FRENCH HORN.
O.o First thing that came into my head. (I probably said that because I have two friends who play French horn.) Something brass.

8. Do you think Donald is a virgin?
...

9. What is or would be a good nickname for Genaro?
"Chocolate". REVENGE FOR "VANILLA". D:< (Actually, that wouldn't work, since my nickname is Coco. ;P)

10. What would you do if Fetus and Cody were going out?
"Oh, come ON, Fetus! Must you corrupt ALL the nice young men?!"

Of Shoes and Ships and Sealing-Wax.

A bunch of my friends (Amber, Rachel, Plushie) went with their youth group to see To Save A Life. I'm really jealous, 'cuz I really wanted to see that movie. It looks like something that would be really meaningful to me.

I've heard some really good things about this movie. Plus, it's an indie film! :D

Hmm... Not much else to write about.

My Favourite Things

"Snow on my nose and eyelashes..."
That makes me wish I still had the link to that video, Nellie. Haha... X)
Anyway. I don't know how many of my readers read Kristin Cashore's blog as well. Very few I would expect. (She's a wonderful YA author and a wonderful blogger as well. Author of Fire and Graceling. Check out her blog!) But every so often, she has a post of her "favourite objects". Soo... I decided to do this as well. ;)

Last weekend was Angel's birthday party, and we went shopping.

KL&*&SD I love this. SO glad Angel made me buy it. Teehee... The first day I brought it to school, Angel made me put her lunch in it, as well. Because of its awesomeness.

Isn't is so cool?! Three bucks. THREE. BUCKS. I love wolves. I felt so lucky to find this! (Thank you, Angel, for dragging me into that store. ^_^ (heart))

Today was a day full of coincidence. Second hour we had a substitute teacher (I had a sub for 4/5 of my classes), and he had me take the attendance down to the office. As I passed by the library, I noticed a dime on the floor. It was face-up, so I took it, rubbing it all the way (wishing for good luck). Then at lunch time I found the dime in my pocket and told Plushie about it. Then HE told me about a dime HE found. Passing by the library. "I left it there for somebody else to find," he said. ME: "Seriously? That's THIS dime!!!"
What are the odds?

During Government Emily and I had a reaaally weird conversation. XD It started out with "I'd date Mori." (Emily. About Ouran Host Club.) and ended with, "Wow, I can see it now! Sipping tea... 'The weather's nice.' '...Mmhmm.'" (Also Emily. Talking about me. And Mori. XD I could never date a quiet person.)
......And then I noticed two girls sitting on the floor two aisles over, eating take-out Chinese. That really threw me off.

(There were more coincidences in this day, but I think the last one was sitting by my best friend's older brother's best friend on my bus. Who doesn't even normally ride my bus. Whom I have never actually seen on my bus, ever.)

A Tale of Icy Driveways.

Cinema Bizarre Pictures, Images and Photos

I am listening to Cinema Bizarre's acoustic version of 'Lovesongs (They Kill Me)'. I never would have expected to hear this song in acoustic, but... It's beautiful. It's so interesting; same lyrics, but an entirely different feel to the song. I think this version is much... Sadder. Like the rock version kind of seemed like a complaint, but I can actually feel the pain in the music with this version.
For you who do not know: Cinema Bizarre is my absolute favourite band.
And they just broke up.
Don't worry, I'm not going to go off and cry or anything. ;) I respect their decision, because they, of course, know what's best for themselves. They're very young (20-23, I believe), and have so many more things to do in their lives. I sure wouldn't want my entire life (or at least my youth) to be dedicated to one thing. Like Strify (the lead singer) said in an interview:
"What has always scared me the most is to stand still and not develop any further. I think you can develop through change by experiencing new things, by trying new things. I don't want to remain inside the same grid and always live after the same pattern. In that case my soul would wither."
-Jack E. Strify
I completely agree with this; it applies to me as well.
However, even though I understand and respect their decision, it does not mean that I can't be sad for a little while. ;) They were a huge part of my life.
Oh, I wish they had come to my city once more before they disbanded! I was never able to see them in concert!

...And Time Speeds Up.

Hello. What's this? A blog, you say? I do seem to have a slight memory of something called a "blog". But I could be wrong, it's been so long.

I'm watching "Fun With Dick and Jane." Right now: "IBELIEVEIBELIEVEIBELIEVEIBELIEVE!" XDD (WATCH IT.)

My friend just texted me to my computer saying that one of the kids in her mom's daycare was watching his imaginary telly, when another kid around his age shut it off. (Mind you, this is an imaginary telly.) The first kid got so mad, he pushed the one who turned it off. XD
By the way, I did delete my last post. It was just a useless rant-post, and I always end up deleting those. XD

I should probably address the most pressing issue on my blog right now.
Uhm.... So you'll notice that it's white.... Yeaaah...
I spent two days making a new template. I was up until 2am writing it, and some more the next day. I was so happy!!! I tested it out on some "test blogs" I made, and it was perfect!
Then... I put it on this blog.
AND IT DIDN'T WORK.
GAH. I can't tell you how frustrating this is! The only explanation I can think of is that my blog has way more posts than the test blogs, and maybe that threw it off??? I set my blog and the test one to the same settings, and it still doesn't work for me! Help? Anyone?
I posted the template to BlogSkins, so you can see (...and download) it here.

And Fetus turned me onto yet another webcomic. (The art slowly improves.)

It's all in the lyrics. Always.

Something I forgot to write about in my last post:
We watched The Bachelor in Modern English!
...And made fun of it the entire time!
XDD
"The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love." As Kadwell said, "Whoever came up with that name needs to be dragged NAKED across a field of glass, covered in honey, then left in a desert." SRSLY. D: When we first started watching it, he said: "This show is so staged! 'Every morning I cook eggs in my shorts, then drink my orange juice while fleexiiing...'" He demonstrated this orange-juice-flex when he said the word 'flex'.
LOL.

Like I have said many times before: Kadwell is the coolest teacher! What other teacher shows the season premiere of The Bachelor in order to demonstrate the themes shown in Pride and Prejudice?!

Then on the bus today a senior-guy chatted with me. It was fun... I like chatting with guys! His friend told him about how I got this middle schooler's butt in my face, then they talked about my hair/how I should dye his hair blue, and how his mom is a corrections officer, so he can't do anything bad. XD

[Edit: Later. So I was suppose to post this yesterday, but Angel's mother got here and I had to race outside cuz I was going to her house, and... Yeah. Happy late post!]

Verbicide: Death by Verbs.

Everyone's hoping for a snow day. I would, too, but I don't think it'd benefit me too much. I have a paper due tomorrow, but there's this great new website my Modern English teacher started using, and it is called TurnItIn.com... You submit papers using the internet. D:

I think I want to go outside and take photographs with my Holga. I just... Don't have a subject or anything. :/ Too bad Angel's not here, I'd love to take pictures of her in the snowfall!

We're writing short stories in English, and I'm having quite some fun with it. ^_^ Emily gave me a good plot idea, I worked off that, reused some characters (Right now, just Fox and Cyan. I might throw in Erica sometime, though. :DD), made some new ones (one is based off a character of Emily's... She told me that I just had to name one of the minor characters the same thing as her character XD), and... Yeah. That's 'bout it. ^^ I should make character sheets for both Fox and Cyan... (Is anyone actually interested in my characters? ^^;)

This weekend is a BPA competition this weekend..... After I dyed my hair blue. =__= Never again. And by that, I mean never BPA again. (I will dye my hair blue any time I wish! And I will have as many ear piercings as I wish! D:< Gah, stupid rules!!!)
But this weekend Angel and I are going to try out her new interior design computer program. ^_^

Emo Sayings.

I was looking for some funny sayings, and I came across a quote site. ...They have an entire emo category! I find it both extremely ridiculous and somewhat funny. You can take a peep at it here.
It makes me think of Cheer Up, Emo Kid. XD (Auugh, update!)
By the way, this is my favourite Sequential Art strip: [link]

In Creative Writing Rachel stopped by my desk and gave me this really cool photo she printed out (on photo paper!) from Flickr. That was really sweet of her. ^__^ (I put it on the front cover of my binder... I really love cross-processing.)

Here's a music meme I did awhile ago. Enjoy!

Don't Give Up.

It's late and I'm tired and we have no water, but I wanted to share this.
I was browsing through the journals in my 'Favourites' inbox folder on dA, and I found the link to this song, posted by a friend of mine.

Don't give up
Because you want to be heard
If silence keeps you
I...I will break it for you

I try to stay away from the emotional stuff on this blog, but this song really touched me, deeply. Even when it seems like everything should end, there's always more. It may seems like the world is only full of darkness and anger and misery, but hold on. Don't give up. Eventually the light will reach you, if only a sliver at a time, and hopefully soon you will be able to see past the horrors and witness the absolute beauty of this world. Just hang on long enough for it to find you. It will be worth it, I promise. Please.
You are loved.

When you are at the end of your rope, tie a knot in it and hang on. - Franklin D. Roosevelt

Psalm 126:5
"Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy.”

God Bless. <33

BIRD IS THE WORD.

Fetus showed me the video above. I love V for Vendetta!
...I really need to update my 'Cast of Characters' list for this blog.

Whirlwind by Robert Liparulo is out!
Apparently is was published in December?! I haven't been checking for the release date because I did a few months ago and I could have sworn there was at least a month left. =_=;;
I'm hoping my mom will offer to buy it (so my brother will read it). >:D

Before Christmas break in Modern English, we had to translate a scene of Hamlet into the theme of our choice. Our group chose Finding Nemo. (Garrett was unhappy because he had to be Dory instead of Bruce. XD)
I was the made-up June, brother of Nemo. (aka Ophelia.)

June: (After telling Marlin that Squirt burst into her room "all crazy and stuff," and in response to something Marlin said): "I'm not sure, I am pretty cute."
(Marlin's line.)
June: "Well, he grabbed my fin and started yelling."
Kadwell (teacher) (after we finished): "So the moral of this story is: No matter how cute you are, girls, you should never let a guy grab your fin."

I will remember that piece of advice for years to come. ._.

[EDIT:] I updated my Cast of Characters! Now you can refer to this post, if you wish, to see who I'm talking about in my posts. ^^ [\EDIT]

My Lovelylovely New Year's Eve

I figured I'd better write about this now or I never will. :D
This New Year's Eve was a great one!

So:
Angel comes over.
I discover that the mall already closed.
We sit around for 15 minutes eating pizza and trying to figure out what to do.
My dad suggests we see Sherlock Holmes.
My mom protests that the family was going to see that the next day.
My dad makes it clear that he does not want to see that movie.
Me, Angel, and my brother go see Sherlock Holmes.
Angel and I love it! (Well, I did! L-O-V-E'd it. Much better than Avatar! For so many reasons. ;_;)
We sit around and wait for my mother to pick us up. (I play 358/2, Angel texts, and my brother pretends not to know us.)
Angel and I desperately want to do a Chinese fire drill on our way home, but the moment we make this resolution, we don't hit any more red lights!
My mother has to stop at the store. (One very similar to the well-known Wal-Mart.)
Angel and I run all the way the way through the store, to the back, grab cookie dough, then run all the way to the cash registers. (We got some weird looks from some college-age girls!)
We run to the car, put the dough on the hood, then Angel jumps into a shopping cart and I race her down the parking lot!
MY TURN!
We videotaped both turns. (Videos on MySpace soon.)
We sit in the car, hardly able to breath, trying to warm up, and wait for my mother.
We missed the ball drop on TV cuz Angel was watching Night at the Museum. XD
We watched I Love Lucy in my bedroom, ate po-tat-o chips, and texted people with Angel's phone.

Sorry for the wall of text! ;_;

What did you do on New Year's Eve?
