RULES OF THE LABORATORY

  • If an experiment works, something has gone wrong.

  • When you don't know what you're doing, do it neatly.

  • Experiments must be reproducible; they should fail the same way each time.

  • First draw your curves, and then plot your data.

  • Experience is directly proportional to equipment ruined.

  • Always keep a record of your data. It indicates that you have been working.

  • If you can't get the answer in the usual manner, start at the answer and derive the question.

  • Team work is essential, it allows you to blame someone else.

  • All unmarked beakers contain fast-acting, extremely toxic poisons.

  • No experiment is a complete failure. At least it can serve as a negative example.

...I think that sums up high school Science labs pretty well. :3

Fai Pictures, Images and Photos

Just finished Tsubasa, volume 16.
Wow. Just... Wow.
It's the Tokyo arc, an arc I've been wanting to read since... Well, whenever I figured out when Fai loses his eye.
O_O
Yeah, I think that was my expression on the way home today on the bus, when I was reading it. XD Then I'd look up and everyone would be laughing, Fetus would look at me while laughing and I'd smile at him (I have a thing where people laugh, I smile or laugh...), even though I'm totally out of it (having just read the most dramatic scene in any manga I've read). (By the way, I say Fetus because he's really the only person who talks to me on the bus. I'm not complaining, besides him and Damien, they're all be-yotches and jocks.)

But Andrea.... Oh, wow. When I read on your blog that it was eaten, and I started this volume... I figured it was the acid rain or something... Not... Ew! Just ew. >___<  I can't imagine ever eating something like that... I was kinda getting sick just reading it.

Erm... To lighten up the mood:

HYUU~!
He doesn't say that in the manga, does he? Or is his version of a whistle (just saying "pweet," not actually whistling!) Del Rey's translation of "Hyuu!"?

P.P.S. Please don't post any major spoilers in the comments! Do this for me, at the very least (at the most, for everyone who isn't very far in this series yet).
P.P.P.S. I apologize deeply about the messed up text in this post. I'm doing everything I can to fix that.

I hung out with Angel in the park today.
She called me after dinner, around 6:30, when I was eating strawberries.
"Well, you can eat and walk! And bring me one, too!"
So we hung out in the park and texted her (freaking SLOW -- sorry, long long story) friend.
Then a girl (young adult) passed out and they had to call an ambulance.
But the ambulance took about twenty minutes to get there! Which had me thinking... What if there was a life-or-death emergency, where they had to get someone to the hospital in about five minutes?! They'd die!

>_>

Loveless

Photobucket

This has been quite an interesting week.

We started doing a podcast in English.
We're supposed to make a trailer for The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet... Only there's one catch: We can only use lines from the play!
It's actually quite fun so far. Can't wait until we start recording! If I can get my hands on the final copy, and if it doesn't suck, I'll post it on here!

This dress came in. In case anyone cares. Might wear it tomorrow if I can get it to look good. :D

Hey, if you readers don't mind, could you please pray for my friend? She's in the hospital, in critical condition, and needs all the prayer she can get. I would really appreciate it.

I heard that my school's getting a second story... I was just like "OMIGEEZE, REALLY?! :eager:" I've been jealous of schools with a second story for a very long time... They're just so cool! (Don't ask why; I don't know.) Elevator's cool, but I'm a bit claustrophobic. Anyway, they'll probably only let people who can't walk up the stairs use it, I'm sure. Otherwise there'll be a lot of jokers messing around in it. (Like my friends! XDD Oh, man.... Good memories...)
I saw the new hallway again yesterday, but only from the main hall. ._. IT'S SO PERTY! (heheh)
I think it's the science wing (the new hallway). My Earth Science class was going to move into it a few weeks ago, but a problem involving fire doors arised, and.... Yeah, no. I was sad.

Hehe. There'sacuteguybutIdon'tknowhisnameandIthinkhewasaseniorandifhewasthenthatsaproblem
becausetheseniorsalreadyleftandIdontevenknowhisnamebutIwillwhentheyearbookcomesout
IguessandIthoughthewasasophmorebuthewasn'tinschooltoday....AndIwasrathersad.

Sorry, just had to get that out. Believe me, I'd really go into it, but there are people who read my
blog... Who go to my school... And know me personally... Yeah.

By the way, there's a poll on the sidebar. So, GO FORTH AND VOTE!

I brought Mokona to school today.
:3
Nudge-chan always has so much fun with Moko-chan!
She didn't realize that I brought Mokona until just before fifth (last) hour, though, when she saw Moko-chan sitting on top of a pile of manga in my locker.
Of course, she ran away with Moko-chan.
Then in English she put Moko-chan in my hood... >_> Then after she left I went to the bathroom (took the plushie out of my hoodie). When I came back.... WHERE'S MOKONA?! :O Nono, I didn't freak out like that. But a few minutes later, Devon found Mokona squished between the window latch and the open window... >_> I still don't know who did that...

This picture frightens me.

Then the bus ride was interesting. Donald wants to find a way to eat using photosynthesis. O_o His theory was that if you have to go on a diet, it's perfect! My theory? You're screwed. (Actually, Fetus said that, we had the same idea.)

STUPID USA CHANNEL!
TT__TT I was all excited to watch House last night, but then I was watching it, and I was like, something's not right.... There was a women lying in bed, but she was having a weird nightmare... Not a hallucination, a nightmare... Then the NCIS theme came on. NOES!
But thankfully, there was an episode I haven't seen recored on the DVR on this computer...

Gosh, are all my posts this boring?!
I really need some good blog fodder. =__=

I don't post often because I lack blog fodder.
Sorry.
But I did get some today.
I would rather go without, however, since it was bad news.
You see, I have this teacher...
My English teacher. She's freaking awesome. Even better than my eighth grade English teacher! (Who was great, with his Chuck Taylor and M&M thing.)
She's really helped me with my writing. Incredibly encouraging, and if it weren't for her, this great story I'm writing wouldn't even exist.
But... Today she told the class that she won't be here next year.
She's moving to Columbia to teach for a few years.
So if I ever do see her again, it will be when I'm a senior!
But she did tell us that at the end of the year she will give us her Facebook information,
so we can keep in touch with her.
I was really hoping that next year I would have my first draft, she could give me some critique...
Oh, well... I am going to miss her terribly, though. I'm glad that we can stalk her via Facebook.

Other than that, last night's episode of House was amazing. Freaking amazing.

...And so goes my life.

Maximum Ride: the comic

I keep having dreams involving Cinema Bizarre.
And I haven't even really been listening to them lately! Well, at least not obsessively.
:/
Anyway!

Maximum Ride, the comic by NaRae Lee.
She's Koran. NaRae Lee, I mean. I didn't know that. I guess she can't speak a word of English. xD That would be weird! To have your first manga to be printed in a foreign country, in a language you can't understand.

I just started it a few hours ago (on the bus), but so far it's pretty dern good. The one thing that really bothers me? Max's hair. She's freaking brunette, why can't anyone understand this?! In School's Out... Oh, wait.
What the heck?! James Patterson just can't decide, can he?
A few times throughout the series, she was said to have had brown hair... With blonde streaks. In book II, her friend at school asked her how she got her blonde streaks in her brown hair. But I guess there are a few times where she is described at blonde. (see here.)

Nudge has big boobs. That's weird for an eleven-year-old, no?
But Fang... Well, he ain't bad. (Please escuse me as I go drool.)
(Even if he does have super-long hair.)
I loved it when he caught that cup that Iggy threw. (nervous laugh)
Speaking of Iggy... Did he have a walking cane/stick when they were going strawberry picking? 'Cuz I could have sworn that he did. Very odd. >_>

Angel's wings are so tiny! How is she supposed to fly with those?! (Don't get me wrong, she's adorable!)

Um... What a weird post! Not really much of a review, but then again, I just started it! But one thing I would reccomend: Read the books first! You'll have a better idea of what's going on, and how the story should go (sometimes comics like these have major flaws. I haven't really found any so far, though).

House: "Chase killed that woman, now Foreman's in charge?"
Cuddy: "Yeah, we have a pecking order here, if Cameron kills somebody, Chase takes over. There's a flow chart in the lobby."

Today was WONDERFUL.
No, seriously, it was great.
We went outside for gym, and I didn't really have to do anything (tennis), because Nudge was my partner and she's great at tennis. :D I just kinda stood there, tried to look like I was doing something... Ducked and swung blindly whenever the ball came near me... Then when I wasn't playing, I was busy dodging the balls Nudge was hitting... She was obviously trying to hit me!!!
[Gah, I'm taking of my choker! It's... Choking me!
...Not a word from ANY of you!]

We had three fire drills and one tornado drill. =__=
The tornado drill was the absolute worste... Me and some other kids had to go into the boys' bathroom... Oh man, oh man. >_< style="font-style: italic;">not.

And to end the day... Class ended five minutes early (but... Romeo and Juliet! We were just getting to the best part!) for the fire drill, a friend practically blackmailed me into giving him a hug (Okay, not really, but... Don't you hate those puppy-dog looks?!), and Donald lent me his copy of the Maximum Ride comic (they call it a manga, but it's read left-to-right! In my book, that's a comic!), which I will give my review on in another post (and schedule it to post tomorrow, since I'm leaving for the weekend.)

Ta-ta!
