I guess I'll talk about what I received for Christmas...
From my grandmother, a bunch of Copic Sketch markers (which my mum obviously bought) and this sweet GIR hoodie! (I just can't imagine my grandmother in Hot Topic without me...)
From my aunt, $20. And a cute card with puppies. ^-^ I'm gonna buy screentones tomorrow with it! w00t!
From my parents, a [nice] sewing machine, many more Copics, and some cool guitar picks. ^-^
Tomorrow we're going to see my dad's side, so I'll be getting a few more prezzies then... Hopefully new Chuck Taylors! (hopeful)
I went sledding with my mother, brother, and my friend, Donald. We were only gone for an hour. (laugh)

My brother, the genius.
He was on Club Penguin, on a Portuguese server, for some reason.
"They call Santa 'Papa Noel.' What's noel mean?"
(me) "Christmas celebration."
"So... Papa... Christmas..."
I'm going to my grandmother's in about an hour and a half. I dunno if we're opening any prezzies tonight or not. I hope so! :D
Though I don't expect to get much, since my grandmother is taking my family to Disney World this spring. (I'm only excited about the plane ride... Disney just isn't my thing...)
Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity.
If the facts don't fit the theory, change the facts.
Human beings, vegetables, or comic dust, we all dance to a mysterious tune, intoned in the distance by an invisible player.
My father confused me. From the ages of one to seven, I thought my name was Jesus Christ!

Watch it. Think about it. Pass it on!
I'm so pumped up right now!
(Seriously, watch it. It will be worth your time, I promise.)
Now some random questions! Because I have nothing better to post!
Do you go to church? Yep!
Do you pray? Every night, and whenever I feel the pressing need to pray for someone.
Do you wear contacts or glasses? Yep. Both. Glasses right now.
Who is your favorite reality TV star? I don't watch reality television. (except for the below one)
What is your favorite reality TV show? Does Last Comic Standing count?
Do you color your hair? Heh, yeah, a lot.
How often do you wear makeup? Eyeliner when I go places. Sometimes eye shadow. That's it.
Describe yourself in three words. A boring girl.
Describe your best friend. What? No word limit? Well, I don't want to go on all day (laugh), so let's just say the best friend anyone could ever have.
What is your favorite thing to wear? Hoodies!
Do you wear jewelry? Just two rings (one being my purity ring) and a cross necklace. Oh, and I'm wearing an anklet right now, too...
What car would you love to buy if you could afford it? Jeep! A Jeep! A real one. Where the top can come down. And it gets all tippy when you take sharp corners.

My family finally put up our tree the other day! And the decorations today. Yay! Usually we do it a few days after Thanksgiving!!!
I went to the orthodontist today, and now my mouth hurts. Big surprise there. T_T
Okay, this is pretty much the best quote ever:
"Because you love me, I spend my time wishing you could understand. Because I love you, I spend my time praying you'll never understand. I wish I could be like you. I wish you knew how much I love you. I wish you knew how often you save my life."
Nothing going on to write about. I guess I'll go watch House now...

And, YES, I figured out how to add the comments option! So I don't think I'll go back to my old template, I'm going to stick with templates from blogskins.com.
I drew a realistic girl last night! It's supposed to be Chii from Chobits. Feedback? I haven't drawn in this style in 8+ years.
Four days until Christmas! It doesn't feel like Christmas here at all. We don't even have a tree yet! My father and I went to get one yesterday, but it's still in the back of the truck. I put up some lights around the windows in the dining room, and a tiny tree on the table, but that's all the decor in this house. T_T
I wasn't feeling too well, so I didn't go to school last Thursday. Then on Friday we had a snow day (it was blizzardy!). So no more school for two weeks!
Friday my family and I went to see Yes Man. That's actually a pretty good movie! I really liked it.
Movies I want to see:
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
The Day the Earth Stood Still
✓ Yes Man
Have a good Christmas!

1. I HATE STEREOTYPES.
2. I can’t stand the Disney Channel, and anything on it. What happened to the classics?!
3. I hate it when the media turns classics like Journey to the Centre of the Earth into overly computer graphitized (which I’m not sure is a word) movies.
4. I have about 40 manga. I’m serious. I recently ran out of room on my bookshelf.
5. I have absolutely no musical talent, but that’s not stopping me from trying to learn how to play the guitar!
6. My favourite instrument is the bass guitar.
7. Lately, I’m starting to make more guy friends… And less female friends.
8. I love comedy television shows, but most comedy movies get under my skin. I also enjoy deeper, darker, and almost depressing movies, while those type of TV shows bore me.
9. I really don’t watch many movies.
10. English is my best subject.
11. I have this strange freckle on the bottom of my foot… In the same place, on the same foot, as my friend! (We used to be BFFs.)
12. My right hand is really screwed up. Surgery, a strange callous on one finger, some weird bumpy thing on another, and about two months ago I had this hot oil burn on my pinky finger. It’s still scarred red, and the pleats are messed up. O_o
13. I think I have a dark sense of humour…
14. I’ve dyed my hair SO many times… It’s been years since I’ve seen the original colour…
15. I’ve never moved from this house!
16. I want to TRAVEL! It’s my dream.
17. I can’t touch my nose with my tongue.
18. I’ve been asked out four times… But I’ve never had a boyfriend.
19. I don’t really believe in dating as teens… Or at least as such young teens.
20. I don’t like reality shows. Comedy is so much better! I mean, the only reality show I EVER watch is Last Comic Standing! LOL.
21. I’ve gone to about five different schools…
22. I love Hot Topic!
23. One of my friends used to say that I was a vampire ‘cuz I have two sets of freckles right next to another on my face… Hehe.
24. For the life of me, I cannot draw realistic people! I’m stuck with anime for now. ;)
25. I don’t trust people easily…
26. I don’t have a very good self-image… I’m not insecure, though! Not too much, anyways. I’m happy with my body, to say the very least.
27. I make too many lists!
28. This is my second blog. T_T
29. Two words: Easily distra- hey, where are the cookies?!
30. I don’t have too many secrets… But the ones I have are pretty big. To me, at least.

"lol u didnt even need to read the question lol but one of the questions didnt even have the right answer choice the question was 17 sheeps and 9 sheeps lived how many sheeps were alive.. the answer is 8 but there was only 9 or 7 sheeps =/"
Somebody commented this on an IQ test on Facebook. Now reread the quote. 9 sheep lived. The answer is NINE! Ahaha, people's stupidity can be very humorous... I did have another example of stupidity, but I forgot it... DARN.
Eh, I have to go take a shower. Sorry 'bout the short post! Bye!

Yesterday was an interesting day. I mostly hung out with my friend, Donald. Fun! ^^ Then I had to go with my mother to drop some stuff off for this auction we're going to today, but when we got there, there was some Christmas thing going on and no on setting up for the auction! (It's being held at a school.) So that was a waste of an hour. T_T But when I came back home, I IMed Donald and had an email convo with another friend, Erik. Aaand I went to bed at 1:oo am. And that was my day.

Well... I was pretty pissed earlier today... On the bus today, one of my classmates saw me sit down next to my guy-friend, and, of course, we received the usual question. "Are you guys going out?" T_T We get asked that a lot. But then, this guy wouldn't shut up! He is SO obnoxious. About ten minutes later he practically shouted, "*bleep* likes Courtney!" (the bleep is my guy-friend's name.) THAT was embarresing. And he kept going on! So I turned around and told him to SHUT UP. That kinda ruined the bus ride. The stupid comment, not what I said. We just kinda sat there... Incredibly embarrassed... Not talking... Well, I'm not sure if he was embarressed, but I'm sure that he was. GAH.

Yeah... Well, my internet is down. Partly. I can get on websites, but I can't do some things... Like reply to messages on dA or browse through art on dA, or check my page on dA... Yeah, I want to be on dA.
Like always, there is nothing going on. Really. Unless you want to hear about my Bio and Health tests! ...Yeah. Didn't think so.
Hmm...! Maybe I'll go on a walk. After I get some food! I'm hungry!
Hey! There's a story right there, in my signature!
Today in History class, we did a reiactment (major spelling issues!) of Ellis Island. It was actually pretty fun! We went through three stations... One where they looked at our "birth certificate" (which we created in three minutes before we went down to the Media Center) and gave us a new name. T_T I was... Basketball Court! What kind of name is that?! Of course, I suppose it is better than what my male friend's name was changed to... Michelle! XDDD
Then, after they stole most of my "money" at the currency exchange station, I went to the, eh, station where they see if you're healthy. I refused to do the chicken dance, so I was quarentined. T_T ...And that is the story behind that strange signature!

Only in America... can a pizza get to your house faster than an ambulance...
Only in America... do people order double cheese burgers, a large fry and a diet coke...
Only in America... do banks leave both doors open and then chain the pens to the counters...
Only in America... do we leave cars worth thousands of dollars in the driveway and leave useless things and junk in boxes in the garage...
Only in America... do we use answering machines to screen calls and then have call waiting so we won't miss a call from someone we didn't want to talk to in the first place...
Only in America... do we buy hot dogs in packages of ten and buns in packages of eight...
Only in America... do we use the word politics to describe the process so well. Poli in Latin meaning many and tics meaning blood sucking creatures...

Mm-hmm... So, Thanksgiving was fun. I played with my eleven-year-old cousin and listened to my mother and aunt talk. Then, afterwards, my family went to the movies, per tradition. We saw Four Christimases... Gah, I hate holiday movies. They're all the same. And none of them will be remembered in ten years. Well, except for Christmas Vacation. That's a great movie!
I'm... I'm supposed to be doing Biology homework right now. Yeah... Now working out so well. I'm waiting for my dad to come back home so I can ask him what "mechanism of infection" is supposed to mean...
For your entertainment purposes: The Allen and Craig Show! Episode 9. (These guys are freaking hilarious! Seriously, at least watch the beginning.)
Craig reminds me of Eric Foreman from That '70s Show, and Allen reminds me of Reese from Malcolm in the Middle. The similarities are frightening!

I am in love with this German band, Cinema Bizarre!

So, technically, I'm grounded from my computer again. Poor Tamaki's moniter is GONE! ...But no one is saying anything about the fact that I am on my parents computer. So here I am!

In other news, I went shopping with my friends yesterday! Angel and Chelsie. It was fun. We were literally shopping all day! We went to this huge outlet mall an hour and a half away... But it was worth it! I bought some really cute clothes! Their Borders sucks, though. They didn't have much, but it was very cheap. Luckily, they had Naruto... Only three volumes, but two of those three were the ones I needed next! They were 10% off, and my mum payed for one of them, so I bought all three.
I'd better go finish Good Night, Mr. Tom for English. It has to be done by tomorrow.

If you know me well, you should know that I can't stand stereotypes of any form.
The label 'cutter' is one of them, of course.
Please read this article.
Other great sites:
To Write Love on Her Arms
I've always felt quite strongly on this subject. In the seventh grade, I saw a number of kids gathered around a computer in the computer lab, watching this 'Tickle Me Emo' video... It's on YouTube. I kind of watched it from where I was, and the whole time, as my classmates were laughing at it, I had this horrible feeling in my stomach.
There are so many misconceptions about self-harm... Last year in my US History class, our teacher told us that Meriwether Lewis (as in 'Lewis and Clark' ) was caught cutting himself. When my class heard this, they made comments like "That man was crazy." Many people also seem to think that self-harm is to get attention... It really is not. It's a way to cope with one's pain.
So many people just sit back and laugh at those who are going through this, when they really should be helping. Horrible, isn't it?
I guess all I can really say from here is to watch the video linked in that article (above).
We need to help raise awareness.
(I recommend listening to Superchic[k]'s song called Hero. It's pretty much about this.)
I like this. Because if you like a girl and there's a chance that she likes you, you should do something before sh e decides that you probably don't like her and loses interest in something that she thinks will never happen.
See, this is what I mean.

-121 million people worldwide suffer from depression. (The World Health Organization)
-18 million of these cases are happening in the United States. (The National Institute of Mental Health)
-Between 20% and 50% of children and teens struggling with depression have a family history of this struggle and the offspring of depressed parents are more than three times as likely to suffer from depression. (U.S. Surgeon General's Survey, 1999)
-Depression often co-occurs with anxiety disorders and substance abuse, with 30 percent of teens with depression also developing a substance abuse problem. (NIMH)
-2/3 of those suffering from depression never seek treatment.
Untreated depression is the number one cause of suicide, and suicide is the third leading cause of death among teenagers. (NIMH)
Scary, isn't it?
Reading: Good Night, Mr. Tom, Farenheit 451, Naruto vol 4, and Kino no Tabi
Watching: Kino no Tabi
Mood: Bored... Tired... But almost happy. Almost.
Listening to: Bowling Ball by Superchic[k]
Thinking about: Should I go for a walk now or later? Do I cash or deposit that check? Will I see any of my friends today? What was that ambulance doing across the street earlier? What will I buy when I go shopping this weekend? Should I go upstairs and read or stay down here and watch anime? What will I watch when I'm done with Kino no Tabi? Should I call my friend today? I really want to read Bloodletting...

I mean, I'm pretty sure that I failed my Bio test... And we're preping for exams... And my lunch sucked... But! I think I did pretty well on my Algebra test. And I made a new friend today! :D For me, that is very rare (I'm kinda schizoid...). But he's a great guy... Name is Donald, but I don't know much about him... Just that he likes anime (Chobits and Naruto! Whoo!) and is a grade above me. Oh, and he used to draw a lot, but doesn't much anymore 'cuz he's in an art class and has to draw everyday. I just started to really talk to him today... We did get a lot of comments on the bus, people kept asking us if we were going out. >_<
Although I am starting to get used to those kinds of comments. I have three guy friends (there was a fourth, but I never talk to him!)... So, yeah. People can be so annoying and judgemental.
I have a ton of yarn wrapped around my left wrist... Kind of like an armband! I dunno why... I thought it might look kinda cool. It's feelin' a little tight, though...
You may notice a picture on the end of the left sidebar... It says 'To Write Love on Her Arms.' It's really neat, click on it to check it out.

David Archuleta's debut album is out today!
I am very happy. I love his voice. ^-^
I'm listening to samples right now. I really like Angels... And Barriers. But... I think they're all love songs. That's pretty disappointing. I guess I was expecting something a bit more out of the ordinary... -goes off to listen to Superchick-
Nothin' else going on. I don't really have any homework today, but I think I'll work ahead a bit.
Monday, 10 November 2008
Hmm... Today was a very interesting day.
I woke up ten minutes before I had to go outside to wait for the bus!!! My mum woke me up... DARN YOU, iPOD ALARM!!! You have failed me once again!
Sometime during second hour, I realized that I forgot my lunch. Greeeaaat. Thankfully, I my stomach hurt, so I wasn't hungry anyways... Well, I was thankful until fourth hour. That's when I started to feel like I was going to throw up! That was very unhappy-making. And it didn't go away until after fifth hour. Which is gym. I sat out.
We're being forced to take a class that teaches us how to study and be successful... And I'm actually learning something! Sweet.
And last but not least, I learned that this semi-cute guy on my bus (cute in a geeky way... But remember, I love geeks! XD) likes me... Actually, my friend told me last week, but she didn't know who it was. She just heard it from his friend. But today I talked to her (his friend) and she told me who he was and his name. So... This is kind of weird. Just because I've never spoken to him before... I doubt he's even ever heard my voice! He doesn't know me at all... I'm sure that if he did get to know the real me, he'd run off screaming (laugh). I joke, but I'm still half serious. There's only one person in the world that knows the real me. And this person hasn't run off screaming yet because he, I think, understands me. At least a little. More than everyone else. So he can relate some. I know that this guy on my bus won't understand me totaly. I know that for a fact. And I don't like him, by the way. A little cute, but I don't even know him.
