Animus?!

Yesterday I went to an anime convention.
Wow, yeah, I know! I actually went to an anime convention. XD
I just had a great time hanging out with two of my best friends, a kind-of friend (Donald's best friend, k? xD), and my boyfriend (Ian). Great time for bonding... Especially when we got lost. (laugh) That was both nerve-wracking and exciting.
At first we thought we might not be able to go. Chelsie and I were in costume (the only two in our group cosplaying. She was Sakura Haruno, and I was Hinata Hyuga, both Naruto characters) taking pictures of each other while we waited for our ride.

In the end, she never did choose a Sakura-pose for in case people asked for her picture.

Aaaand I just look plain evil here. My apologies! Pretty sure I lifted my head up more when people asked for my picture at the con... Which they did, and it made me so happy! (More about that later.)

We both made a kunai (each) out of paper, a large stick, and electrical tape. XD

Hinata needs to keep her mouth closed for pictures. >.>;

"I'm going to see if I can hit my kunai on the backboard!" (She did, by the way.)

This was right after we got the phone call from Donald, I believe. He told us that Jason (our driver) wasn't back yet, and wasn't answering his phone. He said that we probably wouldn't end up going to the convention.
I made a frantic call to Ian, in hopes that he would have any ideas for alternative rides. He didn't. Plushie talked to his mom, but she didn't either.
Fortunately, I got an insant message from Donald about 10 minutes later, saying that Jason was going to be over very soon to pick us up. (I could have danced in the streets! I'd been waiting for this convention for over six months!

Jason picked us up, and with our GPS and pile of MapQuest maps, we set off!

....And got VERY lost.

"WHY ARE THERE NO MICHIGAN MAPS?!"
(This caption was edited. What was actually said is not appropriate anyone under 15. XD)

The GPS proved to be HORRIBLE. It shut off right when we needed it, turned back on when we finally figured out where to go without its help, talking in this noncomprehensible duck voice (from Tom and Jerry, apparently). ...The voice was actually pretty funny... At first.
When we first started going:
GPS: (duck voice) "Turn right!"
Donald: "W-why is the GPS talking like Donald Duck?!"
Jason: "I... Don't know... Why did it tell us to turn right?"
Ian: "You have to turn LEFT!"
GPS: (says something that no one could possibly understand)
Donald: "What?!"
Me: "I don't like this... D:"

That thing was just screwed up.

We stopped in an empty lot to get our bearings. On the outskirts of the city.

We got lost because of the construction on the interstate. We got off the freeway and promptly became lost. XD

We were going farther and farther into the 'bad' part of town, and we were beginning to get a little nervous. Just a little. Then we stopped at a gas station to ask for directions and see if they sold maps. Only Ian and Jason went in, and they came back looking really freaked out. Not so much Jason, he was just nervous (the person at the cash register was behing bullet-proof glass), but Ian was getting really bad feelings, so we got the heck out of there.

Eventually, after a, what? Two hour car ride? We got to where we were going. (The car ride was only supposed to be an hour.) We drove to the giant sign that said "GRAND VALLEY STATE UNIVERSITY," and of course, everyone was making comments like, "Well, I don't see where we're supposed to be." "Yep, this is DEFINITELY not the place!" "Better turn the car around, Jason, and go home." (GVSU was, in fact, where the convention was being held. *laugh*)

We deifnitely knew that we were where we were supposed to be when we drove down the campus road a ways and saw a few cosplayers slowly turn into large groups of cosplayers as we drove. We parked, walked halfway to the building, my shoe gave out so I wrapped the medical tape we used for the Sakura costume around it, and continued on our way.

Don bought this awesome neko-hat, which I ended up wearing on the way home. XD (Even though I bought my own adorable kitsune (fox) hat. He just said, "I can't wear two hats, who wants this one for the ride?!" and I grabbed it.)

Don photobombing Jason's picture.
You can see the supersuper expensive Prinny he bought in his hand over there, to the right.

Ian. xD He was smiling, and as soon as I pointed my camera towards him, he made this face. (Awww!)

For the first hour and a half or so, I thought I'd be able to go through the entire day without anyone taking pictures. XD (I know that people like to take pictures of cosplayers, so I'd prepared myself, but I mostly hoped that no one would. *laugh* It's just embarresing.) I was standing with my friends, waiting for Ian to finish looking through some buttons in the Artist Alley, when a girl who was standing next to me looked at me. I looked back at her, we both smiled, and I think we may have said "hi," but I don't really remember. I looked away for a second, shy, then looked back. She then opened her arms for a hug, so I hugged her. It made me so happy!!! She was so cute! I wish I could find a way to contact her, it would be awesome if I could talk to her online or something.

Then there was another instance, about half an hour later, where two fangirls ran up to me, shouting "Hinata!!!" They cooed and awwed and hugged me and asked for my picture. (Three pictures, they had a guy with them.) Then they petted me and kept saying "cute!" and "kawaii!" and then ran away. *laughs nervously* That would have been SO embarressing if it were just me, but of course that would never happen, they were cooing at Hinata, and it really made my day that they liked my costume. I think it helped that my face was bright red during that whole ordeal. *laughs* It took me 10 minutes calm down after that. o.o;

People took Chelsie's picture, too, though she told me that she got some dirty looks. XD Apparently one person said, "Hinata! ....Sakura." And gave her a dirty look. I felt bad for her! I guess people don't like Sakura too much. (Note to self: moe character always get good reactions!)

Seriously, though, how could anyone glare at her?! She looks so great in her costume! (Which was entirely hand-made, by the way. Except for the headband. And the change purse, of course, she bought that at the convention.)

This is what made me wish I took more pictures of other cosplayers. Donald saw this girl, and was like, "Yeah, I'm going to get my picture with her." This costume is just epic.

Lessee... I saw Demyx... Kyouya... Hunny... Some girls dressed as Brigade members... And Vincent Valentine. *nodnod* I wanted to take a picture of Demyx sooo badly, but he was with some friends. :( It would have been rude to bother him.

Next year I am going to cosplay Kino from Kino no Tabi! Well, maybe. I might want to go with a more well-known character. If I can save up the money for the jacket, I want to cosplay Xion!

Even the ride home was enjoyable! We managed to find our way back easily (stopped at a Speedway that actually sold maps, but that didn't matter because all we had to do, it turns out, was take the freeway, and follow their detours).

About 15 minutes into the car ride, I found that I was extremely sleepy, and ended up spending half the ride laying on Ian's chest, drifting back and forth between conciousness and so-close-to-sleep. A few times I wondered if he was uncomfortable, but that was quickly overcome by a yawn that blocked out all my thoughts. xD He didn't mind, though. That's why I like him. :3

We talked about going to the mall (it was only 6:30 at the time), but Chelsie had to get home, and Ian wanted to go home. So another time, my friends!

I love those guys. (cheese, cheese, I know. *shuts up*)

"Next person we drive by is getting hit in the head!!!"

You can look at more photos from the convention (taken by the many different people that attended) HERE!

My Favourite Anime Openings

I haven't done this in a few years, so I figured it was high time to update my list. ;)
I've seen a lot of anime openings in my time (lawl), but these are by far the best ones I've seen.

1.
This one just happens to be my absolute favourite opening and anime. I can't even begin to explain how much this opening (and anime) means to me. Just goes to show that some of the best anime are incredibly unappreciated.

2.
Here's an instance where I love the opening waaay more than the anime. The opening fills me with so many emotions... Then the anime starts, and I'm like, "Oh. Yeah. This is a good show."

3..
I really have no idea why this opening is so great. It just is. I have friends who will completely agree with me, too, so it's not just me.

4.
The Lucky Star opening is just frickin' awesome. XDD I luff it.

...Yeah, I couldn't even make it to #5. XD
Enjoy! (Yeah, yeah, I see you walking away without even watching these videos! GET BACK HERE!!!)

Chocolate Haters Unite!

...Just for the record, I wouldn't be one of the uniters. I mean, yeah, in general I dislike chocolate. But it's okay in very small amounts. Or covered in peanut butter and/or caramel.

The first meeting of the anime club was yesterday.
It went well... All things considering. XD
Wee~ell, half the people didn't show up.
And a lot of them were because of miscommunication. xD
So the only people at this first meeting (where we decide on what we do/when to hold meetings!) the only people that came were me and Plushie (duh, we're the co-presidents/head peoples), and then Fetus and Melissa.
But like I said, it went very well! They all seemed to like the idea of the anime con coming up this June. ;D
Then Plush's mum dropped Fetus and I off at the corner gas station (he lives a few miles back, and I just wanted to walk because it was a niiice day), and he said he'd walk me home (even though I told him that it was not necessary... Why do guys always insist on walking me home?), but I enjoyed talking to him. :DD

And then Shae might be coming to youth group with me tonight~.
Hm, I think that's about it.

Soon We'll Be Living in the Future

I have to stoooop wanting to change my blog's layout. DX It's like this, and it is here to stay! (For a few more weeks, anyway...)
Plushie-chan (ooh, I should start calling him that!) invited me to go see Alice in Wonderland with him today! But... I don't know if I can. v.v I've been planning to see the 3 o'clock showing of our school play, Grease, and I have a friend in it and I really want to see it. So maybe they'll be going to see Alice a little later.... Or else I'll probably just end up seeing it with my mother or Angel. ;)

I'm living next door to a lake again.
No, srsly. April showers came a liiiitle early this year, and now my neighbour's side yard is flooded again. Like it does every year. I just hope it won't freeze over like it usually does! (That means snow. D:<)
After Jason dropped me off at home yesterday, I immediently took off my sandals and knee-socks and ran outside to get the mail. (I took a few detours through the mud.) Then I came inside and changed into Bermuda shorts and a t-shirt and opened up my window. :3 Angel thinks I'm crazy for thinking this weather is warm, but it is! Fifty degrees Fahrenheit is freaking WARM! Anyone else agree? Let me hear the 'aye's!

Okay. I mentioned this before, but now it's actually happening, so I'll go all-out here! (Uh-oh.)
SCHOOL. ANIME. CLUB.
Heck yush. >:3
I think I got the idea when I thought about the club Nellie's school has, then something Emily said really inspired me to talk to other people about it. I mentioned it to Plush, and he was all for it! So we began planning together, researching, trying to figure out how to make it work. We had everything planned, and the only two things left for us to do was to find a teacher that would supervise us, and talk to the school principal.
We killed two birds with one stone. >w< (In a way.)
We decided to talk to the art teacher first, Mr. R, because he'd be likely to want to help us. Guess what? He was all for it!!! So we met with him the next day, yesterday, to discuss what we wanted to do and everything. He told us that he talked to the principal, and there's not even any strict club etiquette we have to follow! Pretty much, we just need to have a teacher to supervise (which we have!). And Mr. R even gave us some good ideas! (We're going to watch anime, from the old stuff to the very new stuff. Y'know, to see how anime evolved over the decades? It was sort of both Plush and Mr. R's idea, I think. We're going to start off watching an anime Mr. R has from when he was a kid, back in the '70s.)
Now we just have to get members together (which we're working on), choose a date for the first meeting, and plan out the first meeting. YESSSS.
It's actually happening!!!
I hope that it works out... Maybe we can all attend that local anime con together this summer! ^w^

I know I keep saying this, but... Today was suuuch a good day!
SRSLY. Even better than the usual 'wonderful.' ^_^

I was just mindin' my own business, headed to my German class, when Fetus appeared out of no where, walking towards me, put his arm around me, then dragged me to the wall, then said "Hello" and walked off. I still do not understand...

Then... I walked in for Physical Science, and the first thing I saw was Mrs. C standing in the back corner, next to this huge movie theatre-style popcorn machine, making popcorn... What?! Then we watched Land of the Lost, because the Juniors had to take the ACTs all this week, and she's a niiiice teacher. On my way out I grabbed a bag for Plushie, since I ate most of his popcorn last Sunday... >.>;;

I stayed late after school with Plush... Eh, he was supposed to come over, but we met after school and it was kind of like... This: "Do you have a note?" "What?" "Are you riding my bus?" "You never told me that." "Well, that's what we always do!" "Well..." "I'm confused now!!!" So Donald grabbed a back of popcorn Mrs. C was handing out at the corner, said good-bye to his girlfriend, allowed Genaro to take half of his popcorn, and we left. We searched for Jason so he could give us a ride home, but we couldn't find him so we walked around the back of the school and found the art teacher. Guess what? We're starting an anime club at school!!!
We ended up calling his mother to pick us up, who called his grandmother... Who took us to his house. His mother had salespeople over. (laugh) We walked to my house and played the Sims 3 for three hours. XD (SO TIME CONSUMING.)

It's raining... And now I'm really sad that my computer isn't next to the window anymore. :(

To tie together a nearly-perfect day (testing was the only thing keeping it from reaching perfection), I am now talking to my best-friend-from-elementary-school for the first time since last summer! =D YUSSSH.

LOL-Worthy Things I Heard Today:

Photobucket

(Talking about the Winterfest dance:) "Well, it's a 'Black and White' ball, I thought I had to invite a black girl!"
-Classmate

"Alex, I'm so glad that when I crossed the line, you just kept racing on past me."
-My Creative Writing teacher

~*~
^^; I'm obsessed with a new anime now.
Wooooo! It's been so long! (Heheheh.... ^^;;)
Nabari. I will not get into it now, because, man, I may never make it out (laugh), but I loooove it~. I must thank Erik a million times for loaning me the DVDs!!! ^___^
But anyway, bored, in Algebra (then Creative Writing... Then Government... Then the bus... Yeah.), I drew this:

Click for full view, please.

Yay, sketch-dump!

Text:
(Top-left:) "Whenever I watch Nabari, I am always interrupted during the best parts. (coughYoitexMiharucough)"
(Top-right:) "I did not draw Sensei. Instead, I drew his soul. After being forced on the train & bus. (laugh)" (Seriously, his fear of vehicles is a really great characteristic!)
(Near the middle, next to the demon-Miharu drawing:) "Miharu's a demon! :O" "The worst kind of ninja (laugh)"

That's all the important text. ;)
If you have not noticed/ have not seen or read Nabari.... These are all Nabari characters. :3
Haha, I've been considering posting some of my sketches here, like, once a week or something. The drawings I create in Government class or whatever, that I kind of like, but aren't good enough to put on deviantART. What do you guys think? (If no one replies, I'll just assume that you're not interested in my sketches/the art I submit to dA is good enough. Just saying that because if you ARE interested, say something!)

My favourite character is Yoite, by the way. He's so intriguing! (And, you know, with that sexy hat... Kidding! XD)

Viynl Tiolet Paper is Good for Your Heart

One: Here's this great Facebook group you should check out: [link] (XD)
Two: Men are waffles and women are spaghetti. For reasons that I do not fully understand.
Three: Nabari no Ou is a very good anime.

Number one does not need an explanation. Other than you should go check it out.

Number two involves a story. Once upon a time, in a far-away land, there lived a boy. He was a strange boy, with a strange name. His name was "Canon", and he spent his time amusing himself with a girl named "Emily" in his Governzment class.
One day in this so-called "Government" class, the teacher gave the students the entire hour to work on a study guide. Many of the students turned their desks around to face one another. On this day, so did a young girl called "Courtney".
Oh, screw it-- It takes way too long to write this way. Basically, Canon came over to talk, and Emily told us that men are waffles and women are spaghetti, according to a book Holleigh read (or something). We discussed this for a bit (I think in the end women were hot dogs, and I don't remember what men were), and we came to this conversation:
Canon: There is not one person who does not like bagels. Do you like bagels?
Emily: Yes.
Canon: *turns to girl across the aisle* Do you like bagels?
Brittany: What?!
Canon: It's not an innuendo. Just answer the question.
Brittany: Oh! Yeah.
Canon: See?
Me: Well, now it's going to my goal for the day to find someone who doesn't like bagels!
Canon: You won't find anyone.
Me: Oh, yes I will!
Canon: No, you won't. It's like donuts. You will never find one person who does not like donuts.

Haha. WELL! I showed him (or, I will on Monday)! At a hockey game Friday, I asked my brother, and he doesn't like bagels! XD Bwahaha.

Number three. Okay, a few months ago I went to the mall with a friend, and in FYE a magazine caught my eye: the cover featured CLAMP's Syaoran and Sakura from Tsubasa! I was all, "*hooheehooheehoohee* I NEED THIS." (*cough* That actually had very little to do with the rest of this story.) Anyway, in the magazine there was this little mini-poster of some anime. I had not watched the anime, but I put it on my wall, to remind myself to watch it, and because it looked cool. It had two boys sitting on a porch eating ice cream, with the text: "The ninja world is at war. Whatever." (Though I swear, I thought the second boy was a girl! I still do!) It's been there for... A few months. I kept forgetting to watch this anime. But then last week a friend of mine stopped by my desk in Gov (all interesting things happen there!) and said, "I won DVDs of this anime, it's really good. Do you want to borrow it?" I said sure, and he told me the title: "It's called Nabari. Have you heard of it?" ME: "It sounds familiar, but I don't think so."
He brought the DVDs on Thursday.
I'm sure you've all already figured it out by now, but it was the anime on that poster!
"There is no such thing as coincidence. There is only Hitsuzen ('the inevitable')."
So I guess for some reason, I was meant to watch this anime. XD
But seriously, it is good.

If you actually read all that, I love you. Here, have a funny video:

The Sun Shines Brighter... And "Life Goes On"

So I sit down to write a new post for my blog, and an hour later, I'm still downloading icons for my blog. XD But I get so excited about that! Which one to use, which one to use? I found a bunch of Kino no Tabi icons!
Speaking of Kino no Tabi, I've been going through another (not quite obsessive) Kino phase again. :D
Last Tuesday I bought the first disc of Kino no Tabi on Amazon for TWO DOLLARS. (Plus shipping.) Which is amazing for anime. Then I log into deviantART and what do I see in my inbox? One of the artists I watch (I love her art) drew herself in Kino garb. In the artist comments she said that she now owns a hat just like Kino's, and goggles.
I didn't even know she liked Kino, so I was surprised enough as it was! (But she gave me the link to the hat on Amazon, and I want. I'll have to save up, though. ;) It's a bit expensive.)

Anyway!
Yesterday was a very interesting day, and today was a very good day!
Let's see, a list... Uhmm... Ooh! Tooaya's doing a LiveStream! ...>.>;; Sorry.
Never mind. I don't feel like writing a list. XD But yesterday I was asked out and Plushie came to youth group with me and Zach acted like his weird ol' self ("I thought you were trying not to scare him!" "Did I say that? Did I say that?!" XD), and Plushie tried on my winter coat. Which I still can not get over! XDD I need to get a photograph of that...

Then today I woke up early, took a shower, submitted Violet's application to Academy of Heroes (6 minutes after admissions opened, but I don't think she was accepted v.v), read my Bible a little bit... I think that did it right there. I've never read my Bible in the morning before, but I think that's what made my day so great!

Dearheart

Next week we're going to have to write short autobiographies in Creative Writing. :/ I was a bit worried, with no idea what I would write about, then Nellie asked me to explain to her why I hate the post office so much. XD She said my autobiography would be more interesting than hers, but I disagree! I think she's much more creative than I am... *cough* Nellie comes up with all these interesting names for people whose real names she doesn't know (I forgot examples, though). Me? I can't tell you how many people I have dubbed "Blondie." Seriously. Then there's "Girl who dyed her hair red," "Person-who-I-think-name-is-Katie-but-I'm-not-sure," and "Guy-whose-bangs-completely-cover-his-eyes." XDD (He did cut his bangs, though. Maybe Angel's mum passed by him on the street and snipped 'em off for him. I could totally see that. XD)

We (Nellie and I... You're mentioned in this post so much!) did a p-chat last night, and it's so much fun! I've only done it one other time, with someone I'm somewhat friends with on deviantART. I wish more of my friends had tablets. v.v

I'm getting into Ouran High School Host Club for the millionth time. You see, I read or watch it for awhile, then my interests steer away. Inevitably, though, I will go back to it, re-read the three manga volumes I have, watch a few episodes of the anime online... If you listen closely, you may be able to hear a faint "SQUEE!" coming from the computer room during a few shounen-ai moments.
>w<

I wanted to put AFI's Love Like Winter video on this post, but embedding is disabled. :( You can click here to see it, though. It's beautiful!

PS. OMG. XDD I completely forgot about this video!!!

What a Creative Title!

I felt pretty crappy today. Angel and I were starting to get a cold, but it hit me harder than her. Today was so long! A miserable day that just didn't want to end. I nearly fell asleep in a few classes. :D
Econ (my last class) was a bit more interesting because 1) we watched a video with John Stossel, and 2) Mica thought that Kiro was a girl. XDD

Then I got on the bus and my brother was wearing my trench coat. O.O"

Oooh! I want to go to the NYC Anime Festival now. u.u But I can't! Why do I want to go, you ask? Not for the reason you would think. Not for the anime (well, okay, kinda)!
Look at this Guest List.
Now scroll down, scroll down... Do you see it? No, of course you don't. You have no idea who I'm talking about!

Yui Makino

"She also made her debut as a voice actress, starring as Sakura in Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle..."

For those of you who have been living in a metaphorical cave, Tsubasa is my favourite manga ever! (Well, okay, it's tied with Loveless. And Kino no Tabi isn't a manga, so it naturally beats that (the best anime ever).

And then Sarah Baily, the English voice actress for Tohru in Fruits Basket!
And, of course, Scott Westerfeld!
And I'm gonna miss it!

Monday starts Spirit Week, if I am correct. I do not usually participate in Spirit Week, but 'Fake an injury day" is too good to pass up! =D I'm gonna see if I can make an eyepatch. Then I'll probably wrap my arms in bandages or something. Problem is, I don't want to waste my real bandages. I haven't cut myself (in the shower!) recently (I have a huge problem with that. I don't know what it is!), but I don't want to be caught with blood dripping down my legs and nothing to bandage it with!
I'll find something. Maybe that wrap that sports girls use as headbands.
Also, I need elastic string... (For the eyepatch.)
I'd wrap my head, but it seems that a lot of people will be doing that. ^^;

Ah, I feel much better!

Monster

And I saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads, the names of blasphemy. And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, "Who is like unto the beast? Who is able to make war with him?"
John 13:1-4

As some of you might know, I've been reading Monster by Naoki Urasawa for nearly a year (I started it August of last summer). It is so good. It is very intracatly woven; the plot starts out very simple. Doctor must save boy from bullet wound to the skull. It stays fairly simple throughout half the manga, but then more and more characters are being added to the story, to the point where it's almost confusing, but... It's not. This manga is genius.
It's a thriller, and senein, but only because of all the violence. I know that about 2/1,000 people reading this will actually read the manga, but hey, I found this series by reading a blogged review pretty much the same as this one, and I fell in love!

The only thing I can say now is just read it. Give it a try. (You can read it [here].) The summary's on that page as well. There's also an anime, but I became bored of that (started reading the manga because sometimes the story is a bit slow, and it's easier to just skim through those parts.)

Not much to report on.

I need to go to the gas station to return a HUGE trash bag of pop cans and bottles later. Hopefully I'll be able to keep the money. I'm [finally] saving up for a.... (duh-duh-duuuh) Tablet!!! I'm excited. I want to do some digital art (even though I'm more of a traditionalist), and it's quite hard with a mouse. I have enough money right now, but I might put a little of that into savings, so I can, y'know, go to college.

Hmm, yes, so I suppose I'm expected to give my opinion on the passing of a certain pop star.
I am actually quite indifferent.
I've never been very fond of MJ. Not disliking him per say, but I never really listened to his music (except when I was little, I loved that song in the beginning of Free Willy) (I'm listening to it now. I still like it!).
When my dad told me that he was in the hospital (possibly dying), I was shocked. It didn't last for too long, but I was most certainly shocked. I just couldn't imagine that man... Dead. But now I'm indifferent again.
(And I'm back to listening to Dear Reader.)

I've started drawing some realism. People. I've only drawn Cyan and Timothy, and now I'm working on Erica. (These are all my OCs, by the way!)
I'm having a lot of fun with it. Unfortunately, no comments on the one I've posted (Cyan), which disappointed me, but then again, no one ever comments on my art. =D (I'm not complaining! I'm grateful for the page views that I get!)
My mom was teasing me when she saw my drawings of Cyan and Timothy. After telling me that they were good (she always does that. But I have learned that I cannot trust her opinion, as she once told me that.... Oh, dang, I must have deleted it from my dA gallery. Well, it was my first anime drawing, uber crappy), she commented that Cyan was "a cutie," then started teasing me for drawing cute boys. >_> I can't help it, okay?! -FLAIL-

Mmm... Okay, long enough post. Gonna go check the mail, maybe my Dear Reader CD came in! (Bought it on eBay for £3.88, and that's including shipping, people!)

Bleach, Naruto, and lots of Sailor Moon...

Ah, yes. The anime club thing was yesterday.
And it was so much fun!
I just love hanging out with boys. Their conversations tend to me more interesting than girls' (well, the boys I choose to hang out with, at least. The odd ones!)
We watched five anime episodes:
►First of Sailor Moon
►First and third of Naruto (we skipped to the third purely for Kakashi's "A Thousand Years of Pain" XD)
►First of Dragonball (the original!)
►First of Bleach

No one really talked much during Sailor Moon (though there was a lot of snickering when "Tuxedo Mask" introduced himself.) (Unfortunately, we watched the dub, which sucks.)
The conversation really started up during Naruto.
"Hey, he appeared later as a weird tiger guy, right?"
"If Naruto failed that test a few times before, why is he the same age as everyone else?!"
"'I just got a shiruken to my spinal cord, but I'm still going to fight!'" (Seriously, I have never understood that injury!)

And it was pretty much a running commentary throughout Dragonball. XD
My favourite part was when the boy threw the log in the air (by the way, he could carry that huge sword over his shoulder like it was nothing, but he was sweating when he tried to lift the log?! wtf?) and chopped it when it was still in midair.
One of the guys said, "Wait for it..."
And the logs fell on top of each other, one by one, in a neat stack.
"What the heck?!"
"Physics does NOT work that way!"
"How did that even happen?!"
"Guys, this is the physics of anime. Do not question them!"

But I was able to watch Bleach peacefully. ^_^ Which I am not addicted to, by the way, along with Sailor Moon. (Both of which I have never seen before.) (I still like Tokyo Mew Mew better than Sailor Moon. The plot is more solid.)

I'm glad I invited Emily! It wouldn't have been as much fun if I didn't have a friend there.
(Maybe next time Donald and Fetus will come. ;D

So now I wait. Wait for a Nintendo DS and 358/2 Days.

My top 5 favourite anime
Kino no Tabi
Chobits
Elfen Lied
Ouran High School Host Club
Naruto (just the Chuunin and Konoha Invasion arcs. >_>)

My top 5 favourite manga
DNAngel
Monster
Chobits (everything is explained better in the manga)
Tsubasa RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE
Ouran High School Host Club

(Edit! I totally forgot about Monster! So I just kind of squeezed it in between DNA and Chobits and knocked off Naruto.)

I asked my friend
who took German how to pronounce "Elfen Lied," and she's pretty sure that it's "Ayl-fen laid."
Interesting.

Sorry for this pretty much pointless post. I think Angel might be coming over tonight. And I'm going to this large library tonight, and when I get home I'm watching the newest House episode... Today is a good day!
Now I'm going to my room to put on clothes and write and draw.
(I finally came up with names for my twin characters! Fox and Cyan. ^_^)

I watched a video of Yu (who is now the guiatist of my favourite band) violating a stuffed monkey last night. XD
I like how Yu seems to be so dark and cool in pictures, but when I see videos of the band just having fun, he's always acting so... Whimsical.
Anyhoo, you can see the video here.
Poor Siro! XD

I apologize, I will try to not talk about Cinema Bizarre as much, as I think there is only one person who both listens to CB and reads my blog!

Yesterday I went to the hair salon and had my hair bleached. Streaks. I love it!
But if I had my way, the entire top would be white! (My mother forbade me X( )

The other day on the bus, an interesting topic came up, one that never seems to get old:
Twilight.

It wasn't as interesting as it could be, since Fetus (who brought it up, I think?) dislikes it as well. But he did bring up a very good point: Edward is always saying what a monster he is, but how the heck is he a monster?! He freaking sparkles. And he's never done anything to prove his theory.
I think that if Edward was a bit darker (okay, a lot darker), the books would probably be better. And Edward might actually be attractive. Stephanie Meyer must not have recieved the memo, because last time I checked, dark guys can be very attractive.
No, really. In anime, books, movies, whatever, what boys are the fangirls always squeeing over? Uchiha Sasuke, Fang, Light... All dark characters, all very popular in the fandom world!
It just bugs me.

It's HIDEKI!!!

On our History-A test today on the matching portion, one of the choices was "Hideki Tojo." For a few moments I was just like, "Hideki... Hideki... Who is Hideki?!" Because I knew that he was a character in an anime... I just couldn't remember which!!! Then in the shower I remembered it... It was bugging me so much! So I Googled it moments ago... I feel so stupid... HIDEKI MOTOSUWA!!! From Chobits! -points to picture above- See? It's that guy. Up there.

Tomorrow is finally the end of spirit week! Just an assembly to tie it all down, then the winterfest game (which I will not go to). If Kaity brings face paint tomorrow (as I heard that she it), I actually will put some on. :D Heheh. Tomorrow I plan on wearing something really cute... I'll try, at least.

Sorry about the short post. Hey!

Question: Why do you read this blog?

I figured that it would be easier to ask here rather than make a poll. Please, answer it! I'm curious!

Persocom are amoung us!

Seriously! Read this.
Okay, perhaps not persocom, but they are female robots! I wish they had persocom ears, though. That would be awesome.
(Okay, if you haven't seen Chobits, this is a persocom:)

Anyway, I think the actroids are really odd. The movement, mostly. And the voice of the one in this video...! It may be similar to Chobits, but it isn't anime! Use a regular voice!
